What Does this MRI Scan Result Mean?

Delirium. I ve been researching for months, trying to find answers for my mother s mental decline. MRI shows white matter disease and a 2.7 cm left frontal meningioma. Neuro and psych eval come back with minor impairment . But everyone in her life (family and friends) know that what we are seeing is not minor impairment . Psychologist told me it was my problem for not being patient enough and that what I was seeing is what 81 looks like . I tell every med. professional we have been to (5 in 2 months) that this all began following a lumpectomy 2.5 years ago. And every one insists that can t have been a factor. Then I read about delirium and it seems to hit every distressing symptom we see in my mom s behavior. My question, can delirium be a chronic condition possibly exacerbated by the meningioma?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
delirium is not a disease.
It is just a manifestation of some other neurological disease.
A menigioma can cause mass effect and can affect the higher centres in brain leading to delirium.
I suggest you to get meningioma operated.

Thanks and take care
